The foundation of my work is about marrying opposites. I love to start out with what is old and forsaken and obsolete, and find a new way to see it as a bearer of history:
using the act of seeing, to go beyond seeing. With that comes my narrative voice, which seeks to reveal what is under the surface and remains unseen, or hidden.
I seek to give voice to the hypocrisy and double-mindedness of the human mind, and discover ways by which revealing that disarms it.
My artistic philosophy isn't to bridge opposites to form synthesis; my idea is to hold apart and embrace the many paradoxes in life.
